From the extra-low dispersion (ED) glass objective elements to the dielectric coatings on the prisms, these telescopes perform to a level not seen in instruments at this price point before. A lightweight, yet robust, polycarbonate body material means that the 80mm version weighs in at less than the weight of two average 8×42 binoculars! The features don’t end there – dual focus wheels with different gearing enable a much finer control over focus accuracy at high magnifications, where depth of field becomes very shallow.
